First Day of Winter (Google Doodle by Takashi Murakami 2011)

In several states yesterday began the summer and preserve google, google doodle comes through the  First Day of Summer Takashi Murakami's work.

Today, Indonesia google doodle comes with Takashi Murakami's work as well, with the title of "First Day of Winter". The theme of google these days is about the Winter Solstice.

Winter Solstice means the return of the sun reaches the winter solstice. This phenomenon occurs during the two times a year, and in 2011 this incident occurred in June 2011 for the first time, while the second event will occur on December 22, 2011.

Winter Solstice event is also known as a marker first winter days to the northern hemisphere, and summer for the southern hemisphere.

At the Winter Solstice, the sun will reach its southernmost point is known as the Tropic of Capricorn will eventually return after moving to the north.

The transition to the winter season is also marked with the shortest day of the year. That is going to happen the shortest day and longest night of the hemisphere. Instead the transition to summer at the same time is the longest day.

The phenomenon of day and longest night this happened because the slope of the size of Earth's axis of rotation of 23.5 degrees, so that the circulation around the sun, both northern and southern hemisphere in turn will receive direct sunlight circulation is greater when compared with the opposite hemisphere.

That glimpse of the Winter Solstice, especially those living in Indonesia who were at the equator and certainly will not experience the phenomenon of Winter Solstice, which means probably a lot of us who are not familiar at all with this term.
