Charles Dickens' 200th Birthday


Google Doodle today February 07, 2012 come with a theme Charles Dickens' 200th Birthday. I think today's Google logo appearing on the Google homepage all countries.
In the google logo, I think it describes the children of Charles Dickens are all there are 10 people.

Who is Charles Dickens?
Charles John Huffam Dickens (7 February 1812 – 9 June 1870) was an English novelist, generally considered the greatest of the Victorian period.
Dickens enjoyed a wider popularity and fame than had any previous author during his lifetime, and he remains popular, having been responsible for some of English literature's most iconic novels and characters.

Charles Dickens was born in Portsmouth, England. His parents were John Dickens (1785-1851), a naval pay clerk, and Elizabeth Barrow (1789–1863).


His first book was Sketches by Boz in 1836, a collection of the short pieces he had been writing for the Monthly Magazine and the Evening Chronicle.

This was followed by the The Posthumous Papers of the Pickwick Club in 1837. Both these books became popular as soon as they were printed.

Charles Dickens died on June 9, 1870 and was buried in Poet's Corner in Westminster Abbey.
